Testimony of a Senior Medical Officer

These are excerpts from two medical reports produced in connection to the death in custody of Mr. Ali Abdullah Ahmed (ISN 693). They were produced by the Senior Medical Officer at the Detention Hospital at Guantanamo at the time of Mr. Ali Abdullah Ahmed's death. In fact, he was one of the two individuals who pronounced him dead.

These documents contradict the official cause of death of Mr. Ali Abdullah Ahmed (death by hanging).

These documents were not included in the official NCIS report of the detainee deaths. They are included in the Department of Defense Freedom of Information website (see http://www.dod.mil/pubs/foi/operation_and_plans/Detainee/death_investigation/medical-1/Pages_20-39_from_Dickstein_Medical_Files_folder_1_of_3_part_4_of_81.pdf). The importance of these documents was noticed in a report by the Center for Policy and Research, Seton Hall University School of Law.
