According to eight Department of Defense documents, 779 individuals have been transferred to Guantanamo. The first of these was released on 15 May 2006 and provided 759 names; the second was issued on 6 September 2006 and disclosed 14 additional names; the rest are six press releases issued in 2007 and 2008. They provided 1 new name each. These documents contain all the names of Guantánamo prisoners that have been publicly released by the United States Government. You may view these documents here:
